David E. Edgar to retire after 24 years of service
The Junction City Police Department announces the retirement of Officer David Edgar on June 24, 2012. Officer Edgar leaves the department with 24 years of service to the Junction City community. Officer Edgar began his career as a volunteer Reserve Officer in 1985. He was hired as a Police Officer by the Junction City Police Department on June 1, 1988. He became a D.A.R.E. instructor / School Resource Officer in July of 1995. He currently is serving as Municipal Court Bailiff. Officer Edgar and his wife, Marie, will continue to reside in Junction City, KS. The public is invited to celebrate his retirement at a reception on Friday, June 22, 2011 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm at the Junction City Police Department training room.
