He joined the Junction City Police Department in December 2004. He served as a patrol officer for 3 years and Code Enforcement Officer for 4 years and is currently assigned as the D.A.R.E. Officer and SRO at the Junction City Middle School.

Officer Wigton enjoys the outdoors, sports and spending time with his wife and two children.
