[ARCHIVED] Call for Applicants - Code Appeals Board

2024 Codes Slide

The City of Junction City is establishing a Code Appeals Board to support the transition to the 2024 International Codes. We are seeking qualified professionals to serve on this new board and help shape the future of construction and safety in our community.

Board Composition – Seeking Professionals From:

  • Master Electrician
  • Master Plumber
  • Master Mechanical Contractor
  • General Contractor (Residential)
  • General Contractor (Commercial)
  • General Contractor (Residential/Commercial)
  • Structural Trades Engineer

Purpose of the Board:

  • Review and compare current codes with updated IBC and IRC standards
  • Identify safety and enforcement improvements
  • Recommend region-specific code updates and amendments
  • Establish enforceable construction and renovation guidelines

Terms of Appointment:

  • Initial appointments will range from 1 to 3 years to create staggered terms
  • Standard term thereafter: 3 years with possible reappointment
